Recently, the Jiaojiang Public Security Bureau of Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province cracked a major case of selling fake Maotai Liquor, and seized 3185 bottles of fake Maotai Liquor of 59 types, including "exclusive supply", "Feitian" and "Zodiac Liquor", involving more than 4 million yuan.
In September 2023, Jiaojiang Public Security Bureau and Jiaojiang District Market Supervision Bureau found that a liquor wholesaler located on Donghuan Avenue stored a large amount of suspected fake Maotai liquor. After discovering the clues, the Food and Drug Ring Brigade of the Jiaojiang Public Security Bureau immediately put on file for investigation, and seized the liquor wholesale firm run by the suspect Lin on September 28, and seized 3185 bottles of fake Guizhou Moutai held by Lin on the spot.
According to the suspect Lin, in order to make exorbitant profits, he bought a large number of different kinds of fake Guizhou Moutai liquor from home at a price of 150 yuan to 600 yuan a case and stored them in his liquor store. " Chen Xiong, deputy commander of the Food and Drug Ring Brigade of the Jiaojiang Public Security Bureau, said, "Citizen friends should buy Maotai through regular channels and learn how to distinguish between genuine and fake Maotai. At present, the case has been referred for examination and prosecution in accordance with the law.
