The company posted on X on Thursday that it had invested in OpenAI through the Ark Venture Fund, which was formed in September 2022."The Ark Venture Fund has invested in OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, Dall-E and Soar."
The company didn't disclose the size of the investment or disclose its valuation of OpenAI.
Microsoft is one of the largest investors in OpenAI, investing $13 billion in total, including $10 billion in January 2023, which made headlines in artificial intelligence.
In February, OpenAI shareholders hoped to sell shares at a valuation of $86 billion, and the company was reportedly valued at $100 billion at the end of 2023.
